It’s a nice, simple house in San Marco di Castellabate, right opposite to the medieval burg, inside the National Park of Cilento. The house is surrounded by a garden with Mediterranean plants, flowers and herbs. The six rooms of our tiny hotel are named after these plants: Lentiscus, Orchid, Periwinkle, Asphodel, Geranium and Mallow.
In the middle of the garden, there is a small library: many short stories, novels, philosophy, geography, material culture books. Books to be read under an ancient jacaranda tree which - in the summer - blooms with blue flowers surrounded by the scent of jasmines, roses and the gracious periwinkles.
Not far from there, there is the vegetable garden for our small trattoria, the Lyceo Mediterraneo.

And it is to the blossoming jacaranda that the concert of classical music is dedicated every year on the June 21st to celebrate the summer solstice.
The sea, blue and crystal clear, is 1 km away, at walking distance, or it can be reached by riding the bicycles that we rent. The rocks of Punta Licosa, the sand of Pozzillo, the inaccessible and isolated creeks of Vallonalto, they all seem to be designed to satisfy the taste of the guests.
